Konoha is widely recognized for its large population of ninja, and its great economy and industry marketings. It is hidden, obviously, by a vast forest, with a surround wooden gate built around the perimeter of the village. The first passage to travel into the valley is in a cleft between two cliff faces which provides a natural defense for the village making the area very hard to attack. The buildings also seem to be made of clay or stucco which would help to keep the buildings cool and allow them to also withstand the raging sand storms which are common in the area.
